This board is for the explorations of the old fashioned Christian lifestyle, that so many used to live. We appreciate and respect other faiths and beliefs, and ask that they do the same while here.

Each person may only have one account. People using multiple accounts may be banned. We reserve the right to suspend the posting privileges of any registered member without notice. Please note that on occasion a member may be blocked from accessing certain forums or using the private message system at the discretion of the moderators.

The names or titles of God, including Jesus Christ and the Persons of the Trinity (Father, Son, or Holy Spirit), in any language, are not to be used as expletives or interjections or in an abusive, mocking, or insulting way.

Sharing of information about one's beliefs, for instance by quoting Bible verses or witnessing, is encouraged.

You will not promote any faith, belief, or religion other than Christianity. For the purpose of these rules, Christianity is defined by Old Fashioned Christian Families statement of Faith.

Posts may be edited for content or deleted at the sole discretion of the moderators/administrators of this message board. We reserve the right to remove any posts without notice to the author or those who have replied.

Pay attention to forum categories and post threads in the best fit forum.

Please do not derail existing topics with a largely unrelated discussion.

Be gracious to other posters. No insults, flaming, name calling or personal attacks, etc.

Flaming, baiting, trolling, or feeding trolls is not allowed. This also applies to groups. In other words, play nice, don't hurt others, nor call them names.

If you think you are being flamed, choose *not* to be offended, but instead take a break, and communicate, rather than escalating or accusing others.

Do not say racist or sexist things. If the swear filter is activated, edit your post, don't try to bypass it. Don't post graphics or text you would not be comfortable sharing with someone's grandmother.

No Debating at all! Whether the topic is religions, politics, etc.

Defamation is not allowed.

Harassment of another member is not allowed.

When someone disagrees with you, by all means discuss it; but be slow to anger, and rather be eager to get into the Word and find the answers.

No trolling, soliciting members for donations, or spamming in either posts or via PM; don't promote get rich quick schemes anywhere on the site.

No linking to cultic material, sites that mock God, atheist sites, immoral sites, porn, etc.

Please respect the privacy of others on the board. Do not share info you have received in private messages with others. Also: do not ask the moderators as to any issues between the staff and another poster. Quite honestly, it’s not anyone else’s business.

Reasonable confidentiality will be respected by Staff and Members, alike. However, sufficient cause or possible illegal activity will result in the reading of private messages, and/or banned, and/or reported to the proper authorities.

Don't break the law, don't violate copyright, threaten others, or do or promote anything illegal.

Please don’t post the same topic more than once or in more than one forum. (cross-posting)

Use the brain God gave you. Think before you post. Think about how your post may affect someone else.

OFCF (Old Fashioned Christian Families) supports the following as a statement of faith:

We worship one God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Isaiah 44:6-8; Exodus 3:15). God is three divine persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who share one essence--the Trinity (John 6:27; John 1:1, 14; Romans 8:9; Hebrews 1:2-3). Our Lord, God and Savior, Jesus Christ, the incarnate second person of the Holy Trinity, fully God and fully man (John 1:1, 14), by the Power of the Holy Spirit was born of a Virgin (Luke 1:35) and existed before all time begotten of God the Father (John 1:2; John 1:18). He was crucified for our sins, died, was buried, resurrected on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4) and is seated at the right hand of the Father (Mark 16:19). Jesus is the Christ, the Messiah (John 1:49; Matthew 16:16). His coming was foretold by the prophets of the Old Testament (Acts 3:18-23). He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead (Acts 10:42) and His Kingdom will have no end (2 Peter 1:11).
