Coffee Frosting

This creamy coffee frosting is perfect for adding an unusual taste to your pumpkin, apple, or any other cake!
Ingredients
  • 1½ cup unsalted sweet cream butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • ⅛ cup french vanilla coffee creamer*
  • 4 Tbsp instant coffee**
  • cold water
Instructions
  1. Mix the butter, powdered sugar, and creamer together with an electric mixer until combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, make a syrup out of the instant coffee and water, stirring until no lumps remain.***
  3. Add the coffee to the icing
  4. Turn the mixer on high and beat several minutes or until the frosting begins to be fluffy. Add more sugar and coffee to taste.
Notes
* Any flavor would probably work; I just happened to have french vanilla
** More coffee will result in a stronger taste
*** Be very cautious with the water! You don't need as much as you think. The goal is to have it be slightly thicker than maple syrup.
