It's easy to take holiday flavors to the next level by making your own eggnog. I'll never purchase it at the store again!
Ingredients
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1½ cups raw cream
  • 8 - 10 egg yolks*
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¼ cup - ½ cup maple syrup (to taste)
Instructions
  1. Put everything in a blender and mix it all up! Whisking works fine too.
  2. Once it's smooth, refrigerate overnight and serve cold!**
Notes
*If you need to cook your yolks because they are not farm fresh, you can mix the yolks with your milk on a skillet until it reaches a temperature of 160°. Just make sure to stir often enough that it doesn't stick to the bottom or curdle!
**It should keep in the fridge for about 3 days.
