My family has never been very big into celebrating Mother’s Day. My mom always says that it isn’t a real holiday and she doesn’t actually want us to do anything. Of course, we always do celebrate with a little something special. This year, why not do a special brunch just for mom?
Here are a collection of some of my favorite mother’s day brunch recipes taken from around the web. You’re sure to find something great to make for a brunch just for moms this Sunday!
Something Savory
At my house, breakfast (and therefore brunch) just isn’t the same without some eggs to get your morning going! Start off your brunch right with one of these yummy savory dishes.
| Quiche Toast Cups | Recipe Tin Eats
These little toast cups look absolutely adorable, way more complicated than they really are and they’re pretty filling too! You really can’t beat that.
| Cheese and Bacon Breakfast Strata Cake | Recipe Tin Eats
This one-dish meal looks and tastes delicious but doesn’t take hours an hours to make. You can add whatever ingredients to the actual filling, depending on what mom likes.
| Hashbrown Egg Nests with Avocado | The Cooking Jar
These cute little hashbrown nests are great for a light brunch.
| One-bowl Cheesy Drop Scones | Babble
Cheese is really popular at my house, and these delicious cheesy scones are honestly more like cheesy biscuits than anything. They’re great with fried eggs and side of avocado!
Something Sweet
Mom deserves something sweet, so why not make it a multiple course brunch and include some sweet with your savory? Or treat yourselves and just do a breakfast with all sweet things!
| Sweet Berry Parfait | The Savory Shutter
Parfaits are not only yummy, but they just look so pretty!! If you are looking for a healthy twist, use plain vainlla yogurt instead of the sweet filling!
| Strawberry Cheesecake Streusel Muffins | The Recipe Critic
I haven’t tried these muffins yet, but they just looked way too good to not include!!
| Overnight Blueberry French Toast | AllRecipes
You’ve never had french toast quite like this. With cream cheese, blueberries and a yummy blueberry sauce, this delicious recipe is one of my favorites. You can use just about any berries if your mom isn’t a blueberry fan!
| Starbuck’s Petite Vanilla Bean Scones | Babble
These yummy scones are a copycat recip based on the popular vanilla scones found at Starbucks. I absolutely love scones, and it simply isn’t a brunch without scones or tea–or both!
Make it look nice and neat
Even if you aren’t much of a cook, you can make just about any meal special with just a little bit of prep. Here are some fantastic ideas to make the brunch just a little more special. Mom will definitely appreciate the extra effort!!
